Actor Baim Wong returned to attend his divorce trial with model Paula Verhoeven at the South Jakarta Religious Court (PA) on Monday (28/10/2024).
The agenda for Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven’s divorce trial today is further mediation.
Baim Wong was present at PA South Jakarta at 12.38 WIB.
Baim looks neat in a suit and sage green trousers. Baim wore a white t-shirt underneath his jacket.
“Yes, you really have to be neat (the clothes),” said Baim to the media crew, Monday.
When he appeared at the South Jakarta PA, Baim didn’t talk much even though the media crew bombarded him with a number of questions.
Including, a video of Paula Verhoeven denying the existence of an affair.
Baim just smiled, then asked for prayers before entering the courtroom.
“Just pray, okay?” said Baim.
Before going to PA South Jakarta, Baim also admitted that he prayed first.
In his prayer, he chanted Surah Thaha. This letter is known as the prayer of the Prophet Moses when he was about to face Pharaoh.
This prayer is usually read as a request to Allah to make things easier and also when conveying something.
Even though Baim Wong was present at the South Jakarta PA, Paula Verhoeven and her attorney were not seen present.
Previously, Baim Wong’s attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, said that at the follow-up mediation hearing for Baim and Paula’s divorce, they would provide a written letter regarding their divorce agreement.
Including, regarding proposals for custody of their children.
“The judge gave Baim and the respondent the opportunity to submit their written submissions on Monday at 13.00. What is best for the children? To provide an explanation for each other about children’s rights,” said Fahmi on Wednesday (23/10/2024).
“About what is best for the children. They explained to each other, who the children are more comfortable with. According to Baim, the children are more comfortable with him because they are relaxed and so on, so on,” continued Fahmi. For information, Baim Wong applied for divorce from Paula Verhoeven on October 8 2024. Baim suspected that Paula was having an affair. The application for divorce from the film director Lembayung is registered with case number 3477/Pdt.G/2024/PA.JS as of October 8 2024.
However, Paula recently denied that she was having an affair with Baim Wong.
Baim Wong married Paula Verhoeven on November 22 2018. The two of them have two sons.
