Police confirm that the 7 year old girl who was held captive by her father with a knife at the Police Post, Pejaten, South Jakarta has been taken into custody. Pasar Minggu Police Chief Commissioner Anggiat Sinambela confirmed that the child was rescued without injuries. “The child has been rescued, without injuries,” he said in Jakarta, Monday (28/10/2024). He added that the rescue of the child was successful through negotiations between his party and the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, the negotiation process took 15 minutes and currently the perpetrator has been taken to the South Jakarta Police. “He held him captive in a matter of minutes before we negotiated, the perpetrator brought a knife and put it to the victim’s neck,” he concluded.

The video shows a child being held hostage by an adult man at the Pol Post, Pejaten. It appears that the man used a small knife which was attached to the child.
