Gathering at 05.15, the Minister was surprised that Prabowo had arrived at the Military Academy Field
Ministers, deputy ministers, heads of agencies, special envoys and special advisors to the president underwent marching drills at Sapta Marga Field, Magelang Military Academy, Friday (25/10/2024) morning. Head of the Presidential Communications Office/PCO, Hasan Nasbi, said that the ministers and all levels of the Red and White Cabinet had been awakened since 04.00 WIB in their respective tents. At 05.15, they had gathered at Sapta Marga Square. However, at this moment, the ministers were surprised because President Prabowo Subianto was present on the field first.
“What was surprising was that when the cabinet members arrived on the field, President Prabowo Subianto turned out to be the first person to appear on the field. President Prabowo set an exemplary example as a disciplined leader,” said Hasan in a press statement, Friday.
The first day of retreat activities began with joint sports led by trainers from the Magelang Military Academy. After exercising for around 30 minutes, the activity continued with marching exercises. Ministers, deputy ministers, agency heads and special advisors to the President are divided into five groups.
“In each group, three marching trainers were provided each. President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as well as the TNI Commander and National Police Chief also took part in the training. General (Ret.) Wiranto also took part in the training with cabinet members,” said Hasan. Hasan further added that Prabowo had given instructions to the ministers that this exercise was not a military exercise, but rather to match the government’s actions. According to Prabowo, the best teamwork can be seen in football, where all players must have the same beliefs and goals.
“The Red and White Cabinet Team must also realize that they are competing with other countries,” explained Hasan. After sports and marching exercises, the ministers and heads of institutions have breakfast and will receive materials.
