Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) together with all members of the Red and White Cabinet, flew to Magelang, Central Java using an Indonesian Air Force (AU) aircraft, Thursday (24/10) to attend training at the Military Academy (Akmil).
For AHY, Akmil is not a new place for him. Because there, he was trained to become a TNI Army (AD) officer.
Therefore, for the eldest son of the sixth president, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), this activity was not just a provision, but also a nostalgic moment for AHY who remembered his time as a TNI AD cadet.
“I am happy to go to the Military Academy. This is nostalgic, because I was also trained there,” said AHY.
Over the next four days, AHY and all other cabinet members will take part in a series of training and briefing materials designed to strengthen team cohesion and the spirit of unity.
“I think it will be very fun together with the ranks of the red and white cabinet with President @prabowo to make us even more united,” he continued, as quoted in a post on his Instagram account @agusyudhoyono, Thursday (24/10) evening.
Not only AHY, there were a number of other ministers with military backgrounds who also attended this briefing.
They include Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency Ossy Dermawan and Cabinet Secretary Major Teddy Indra Wijaya.
President Prabowo Subianto said that it was hoped that the training at the Military Academy would inspire teamwork, courage and a spirit of heroism.
“For this reason, in the near future I will invite you to Magelang where we will carry out several days of additional provision,” said Prabowo in his direction at the introduction to the Plenary Cabinet Session at the President’s Office, Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (23/10).
