A tourist bus carrying dozens of kindergarten children was destroyed by fire as it passed the Becakayu Toll Road, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
The tourist bus caught fire on the Becakayu toll road, precisely at kilometers 0-400, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The fire accompanied by thick smoke burned all parts of the bus body, causing panic among the passengers.
The passengers, who contained dozens of kindergarten children, quickly got off and were evacuated from the bus before the fire burned down the entire body of the bus.
The fire grew bigger and finally burned the entire body of the bus. East Jakarta Fire Department officers who arrived at the location immediately tried to extinguish the fire.
The bus fire was finally extinguished an hour later by deploying 3 cars and 15 firefighting personnel.
According to eyewitnesses, fire suddenly appeared from the back of the bus and made all the passengers panic. The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit in the AC.
